Reviews for Phoenix Diner
Review highlights
Based on 219 reviewsPhoenix Diner, a Vietnamese restaurant in Abbotsford, BC, garners consistent praise for its flavorful and authentic cuisine, with many customers highlighting dishes like curries, banh mi, and spring rolls. Reviewers appreciate the generous portion sizes and fair pricing, alongside efficient service that complements the overall dining experience. While some note a modest interior, this is widely outweighed by the welcoming atmosphere and quality of food, which many say rivals that found in Vietnam itself. The spiciness of certain dishes is mentioned as a consideration for sensitive diners, but overall, the menu variety and friendly staff make Phoenix Diner a popular local choice for those seeking genuine Vietnamese flavors.
The food is so friggen good! I truly appreciate the dinner specials, the price is fair and the portion are perfect. I will definitely be coming back go try more food from the menu. I tried the yellow curry and it was soooooo good. Beware the curry is more on the spicy side, so be prepared with an antacid if you have a history of heartburn or acid reflux. I am very satisfied with the restaurant! Highly recommend
The chicken banh mi was incredible, one of the best I ate in all Canada !
Eat here! The food and service are authentic Thai. Incredibly tasty with all the little extra toppings and sauces and presentation done so well for just a quaint little spot. Interior lacks a little lustre but the flavours and friendliness more than make up for it. We had the greens with peanut sauce, a red curry dish, and some spring rolls, and it was more than enough for two adults.
This place is the definition of don't judge a book by it's cover. I have been to Da Nang, Vietnam and this food is on par. Try their spring roles or Udon Curry, my friend loves their burgers.
Food came fast and was very yummy. Large portions, nice server, and homey atmosphere
It was one of the greatest Vietnamese restaurants in Abbotsford, there are a few other good ones, but this one has a really good price in comparison to those. They have huge portions as well. Small cozy restaurant! The food tasted amazing, we tried the pho.
I hadn’t been to the Phoenix Diner for a couple of years. I went yesterday and enjoyed a bowl of their Wonton & Noodle soup. In a word, delicious. The bowl was huge and contained lots of fresh veggies as well as lots of wontons and noodles. I’ll be back soon. Two thumbs up!
This is such a great diner. Its my favorite place to go for breakfast. The couple that runs it are so kind and give great service and the foods always perfectly made. Ive never had better food.
